Adventure List
Hunting Trips
Sitka black-tailed deer are plentiful in Prince William Sound and legal for both residents and nonresidents with a valid hunting license. You only need to choose the location, pick up your license and bring along your hunting equipment and we will take care of the rest. Big game hunting is allowed if you are an Alaskan resident or the direct relative of one who hunts with you. We have all the processing equipment needed to package and freeze right on the boat Nonresidents may hunt big game with the assistance of a licensed guide.
Although we are not allowed to assist in harvesting or processing your meat, as licensed salmon processors we possess the equipment needed to butcher, package and freeze it right on the boat!
Fishing Trips
As fishing guides, we fully accommodate your fishing trip. Salmon and rockfish are plentiful in Prince William Sound and legal for both residents and nonresidents with a valid fishing license. You only need to pick up your license and we will take care of the rest. Prince William Sound is home to all 5 Pacific salmon species, halibut, rockfish, lingcod, sharks, steelhead, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and dolly varden. Squid can be caught just out of Valdez and the season peeks between August and September, but they can be caught year round. Shrimp pot fishing is open to both residents and nonresidents from April 15 – September 15. Although the jumbo Spot Prawns are the most popular, the smaller Side Stripes are also delicious. As licensed salmon processors we possess the equipment needed to butcher, package and freeze it right on the boat!
Combo Adventures
The only thing better than several days of stalking game or catching fish is let’s do both! You can combine the two so you have a break from hiking to sit in a chair and wait for something deep below to grab your line or maybe your party has both hunters and fishermen and we can accommodate both at the same time!!
Sightseeing
Prince William Sound is as close to heaven as you can get here on Earth. The beauty of the ocean meeting the mountains is surpassed only by breathtaking waterfalls and glaciers. With our fast and seaworthy vessel, we can take you all over the sound and right up to them with our Zodiac raft. After decades enjoying the Sound personally, we know of beautiful places that many people have never even heard of. If you’re also interested in seeing the few towns in the Sound, there is our home port of Valdez of course but you don’t want to miss the fishing town of Cordova, the native town of Chenega and the historic town of Whittier. Valdez is well known for it’s beauty and history, dating back to gold rush days as well as being the final destination for the oil pipeline from Prudhoe Bay. Cordova is known for having no road access, you have to fly there or better yet come by boat because this town is all about fishing and we love it! The town of Chenega was moved to Evans Island after the original town was destroyed by tsunami after the 1964 earthquake. This town is also only accessible by plane or boat! The town of Whittier is known for Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, the longest (2.5 miles) highway tunnel in North America that was blasted thru the Chugach Mountains with unimaginable precision.
